Weekend Must Read

Admittedly, I am not as blog savvy as I wish I was. After not blogging for months, I published a saved summer post today in hopes of it posting with it's original date mark; unfortunately, I was not successful so as I try to hop back on the blog band wagon, my summer post is blatantly tardy for the party!

Summer has gone and thankfully taken the humidity with it. This summer was a scorcher with higher than record breaking temperatures. I never thought I would say it but I am happy to see the cooler weather here. Fall is a nice change and with the falling leaves and pumpkin spice lattes come shorter days. Which means more time to curl up on the couch with a good book.

A few of my closest girlfriends and I are reading Tinsley Mortimer's Southern Charm this month for book club. Let me just say that so far I have loved it. Tinsley's main character, Minty, had me at page one with her southern flare and love for Eloise. Although it is a chick-lit read, I'm always sucker for a glittery novel and the fact that the main character was from Charleston pretty much sold me!

Memorial Day Madness

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend is probably my favorite holiday, other than Christmas. (Which is obviously the greatest holiday, ever.) It marks the beginning of summer, which means warm weather, sun kissed cheeks, boating and never ending outdoor cook-outs!

Summer is also another great excuse to brighten up your wardrobe and stray away from the black and grey colors of your winder wardrobe. In looking for some color inspiration, I scored the internet for some ideas and after finding this fabulous wallpaper, incorporated it with some of items from my very own closet that I pair together for a Saturday get together with friends and family.

With the 80's highlighter colors making their way back in style, this is a relatively laid back weekend outfit! What are your favorite summer trends this year?
